To the left side of the port is located Mandraki, an organized beach, in a close cove, with sea sports. You can enjoy sea skiing, wind surfing and others. It is only a few minutes away from the main town of Hydra and you can reach it either by walking or with sea transportation.

The larger beach in Mandraki Bay is operated by the Mandraki Beach Resort is the ONLY 100% sandy beach on Hydra. The resort beach offers deluxe sun beds, umbrellas, towels and complimentary water in buckets of ice with a welcome sorbet. It is the only beach on Hydra that has purpose built toilets, showers and changing rooms specifically for beachgoers. The resort provides call-button waiter service with a beach cafe menu for snacks and drinks.

The Mandraki Beach Resort can be reached by walking 20 minutes along the coast road from Hydra Harbour. Or you can enjoy a 3-minute boat ride on one of the beach boats that operate every half hour. The Mandraki Resort boat is available free of charge after 20:00 for dinner guests.
